The football cages at the 'Oval' offer a state of the art artaficial pitch with artaficial grass to give you and your friends the best 5-a-side experience. The cages have provided a great 5-a-side experience since its creartion in 2007. The fairly new cages are well laid out, and offer around 9 cages for rental or use. They are well maintained by the 'Oval' staff and are always ready for use. I feel that overall the cages will offer a great playing surface for you and your friends to enjoy playing 5-a-side football on.
The cages are located up neare the back of the facilites behind the track. It is a short walk up an inclinging path to reach the back of the oval running track. Gates provided to the left allow easy acces to the football cages which are then located to your left hand side. The cricket pitches at the oval are well maintianed through the summer season and offer a great cricket pitch for you and your friends to enjoy playing on. The grass is well maintained through the summer season making it an ideal place to play cricket.
The cricket pitches are located at the far end of the oval complex. They are located opposite to the football cages which are found behind the track. Cricket Pitch price (During the Summer Season): £20
The swimming facilites at the oval where recently refurbished as the whole building was recreated and altered. The swimming pool contains on large swimming pool, with clearly visible lanes. The pool also contains a smaller childred/ disabled pool with shallower water which is connected to the main swimming pool. The swimming facilites are well maintianed and kept clean. In addtion to this the same standard applies within the changing rooms to provide a professional experience.
The swimming pool is located within the oval complex its self and is accessed via the changing rooms. The directions to the pool are provided within the Oval and will give clear instructions of how to reach the changing rooms which are on the 1st floor. The tennis courts at the oval complex are well maintianed and looked after. The courts are regualtion size and offer a great opportunities to practice and henhance your game. They are concrete courts, unlike those of lawn or grass but still offer the same excitement than that of a grass or lawn court. Overall the courts can be used in any weather which is beneficial for players who wish to play in seasons such in winter . The courts are available for use on a free basis (bookings only).
The Tennis courts of the Oval are loctaed on the left hand side fo the entrance leading up for the faiuclityes. they are accesible via the back of the car park with entrances running parrell to the courts.
